Adored husband of Jen. Much loved son -in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and dear friend. Damien had many passions and interests. He was a bushwalker, a storyteller, a leader, a mentor, a teacher, an advocate, an explorer and a traveller. He had a wonderful sense of humour. He loved rocks and minerals, art, music, hats, the weather, and reading. He particularly loved a good cosy crime story.

Damien was a retired academic and teacher of law at the University of Wollongong. He was loved and respected by his colleagues and students. Damien believed passionately in education and always supported his students to find their path and achieve their goals. He was passionate about social justice and human rights. Damien was a true gentleman who treated everyone with respect.

We will miss your smile, your laugh and your passion.

A private cremation will be held.
A memorial celebration will happen later.
